Meet the Teachers

Tamara Manukovskaya started her training at the Bolshoi Academy of Ballet in Moscow, Russia. She continued her studies under the tutelage of Nina Maximova, herself a student of Agrippina Vaganova, and graduated at the top of her class with a Soloist Diploma from Saratov Choreographic College. Upon graduation, she joined the world-renowned Grigorovich Ballet Company as a demi-soloist and soloist understudy. There she performed as a soloist/coryphée in “Swan Lake," “Sleeping Beauty,” "Paquita," "Pas de Quatre," etc. After this, Ms. Manukovskaya came to the United States, where she was invited to join the Renaissance Ballet Company of North Carolina. Twenty-four of her students received scholarships and were accepted to the Alabama Ballet, Tulsa Ballet, Carolina Ballet, Kirov Academy, Juilliard, and Bolshoi Academy. Three of her former students perform professionally with Nacho Duato Company and Cirque de Soleil.
